The Clerk I works a Monday to Friday schedule, 8:
00 AM to 5:
00 PM, in the Risk Management Department.
The Clerk I works under the direct supervision of the Program Manager IV of Risk Management with moderate latitude for use of initiative and independent judgment.
The Clerk I performs advanced level secretarial work including but not limited to answering the telephones, retrieving documents from My Avatar, retrieving mail, updating forms, maintaining compliance boards, taking minutes and updating databases.
Utilizes organizational ability to maintain efficient and effective operation of an administrative office.
Will conduct a professional and positive relationship with employees and outside entities.
Will act as a back-up for the Administrative staff in Risk Management.
Must understand that the duties, location of work and shift pattern are subject to change as determined by administration in order to meet department and hospital needs.
Supports the mission and vision of the facility.
Must understand that duties may include exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.
Essential Job Functions:
Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Performs office management task, such as files, answers phones, types/sends emails, and transcribes minutes.
Will update the employee work status database in excel daily.
Will review the completed RSH 687-A Facility Incident reports daily and verify information has been entered into Avatar.
Information that has not been entered will be forwarded to the Unit Nurse Manager.
Will act as a back-up for the Administrative I, Return to Work Coordinator, which includes, setting up Accident Review Board meetings, transcribing minutes, verifying physician documentation, and notifying appropriate staff.
Will act as a back-up for the Administrative II, will run reports in Business Objects, print from the Clinical Work Station (CWS)/Avatar and transcribe minutes.
Will update all Rusk State Hospital forms that are maintained by Risk Management, as needed.
Will Maintain the retention scheduled for the Risk Management Department.
Will submit work request in CAFM for Risk Management.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office, including creating reports and entering data.
Working knowledge of general office practices, spelling, grammar, and standard office machine.
Ability to maintain a hard copy and electronic filing system.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and co-workers.
Physical ability to perform Treatment Intervention and Preventative Strategies (TIPS) Registration or Licensure Requirements:

The salary offered will follow HHS HR Policy starting salary guidelines which are typically made at or near the minimum of the salary range.
For internal applicants, there can be limitations in consideration of applicant's current classification and salary and is dependent upon available budget.

All of these diseases are vaccine-preventable.
As a result, state hospital policy requires employees be vaccinated according to their level of contact with individuals.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
